Orchestra di Roma

The Orchestra di Roma, born in 1990 from the merging of some of the most important Roman musical associations, has a very intense activity both in the concert field and the realization and production of music for films. It performed in many concerts in Italy, tours in France, Netherland, Spain, United States, United Arab Emirates and Japan playing in the most prestigious concert halls such as the Olympia in Paris, El Teatro Real in Madrid, Il Teatro Regio in Turin, The Auditorium Pio dell’Accademia Nazional di Santa Cecilia in Rome, the Tokyo Opera City Concert Hall and the Yokohama Minato Rai Hall of Tokyo.

It has also produced hundreds of soundtracks with national and international most famous and prestigious composers and directors and also for the main Italian and International cinematographic production companies, realizing moreover two Oscar winners soundtracks (“Il Postino” of Luis Bacalov and “La Vita è Bella” of Nicola Piovani).

Ennio Morricone, Luis Bacalov, Nicola Piovani, Riz Ortolani, Armando Trovajoli, Charlie Haden are some of the many composers that have cooperated with the Orchestra of Rome. Also Evan Lurie, Jean-Marie Sènia, Julian Lennon, Bob Rose, Claudio Baglioni, Franco Battiato Carmine Coppola, Francesco De Gregori, Renato Zero, Pino Donaggio and mnay other have also cooperated with the Orchestra,

Among the directors, Francis Ford Coppola, Dario Argento, Giuseppe Tornatore, Brian De Palma, Adrian Lyne, Roberto Benigni, Dario Argento, Warren Beatty, Franco Zeffirelli, Oliver Stone, Martin Scorsese, Paolo e Vittorio Taviani, Roland Joffe, Mario Monicelli, Nanni Moretti, Ettore Scola,, Tinto Brass, Michael Radford, Massimo Troisi, Pupi Avati, Diane Kuris, Lina Wertmuller, Peter Chan, Steven Feder, Fina Torres, Giuseppe Bertolucci, Vladimir Khotinenkoc and many others.
